A very beautiful mountain hike of moderate difficulty, in parts it is quite steep uphill and downhill. Hiking poles are recommended, especially in the lower part during the ascent, for those who need support. The paths are well secured. There are very beautiful viewpoints along the entire mountain hike. If the weather is nice and there are no clouds, you have a fantastic view of the Alps at the top. There are a few barbecue areas and a few benches along the entire route.

You must be sure-footed and have alpine experience.

Important: This mountain hike starts directly from the public car park (free of charge) at Oberwil train station in Simmental.

Highlights of the mountain hike are the Leiternweide Oberwil suspension bridge, which is 111 meters long and 111 meters high above the gorge. The path then leads down the newly renovated Leiternweg to the ruins of the Weissenburg baths.

Important: Can be done with children aged 12 and over with very good sure-footedness and very good fitness is a must.
