A very nice intermediate mountain hike, sometimes it is quite steep uphill and downhill. Hiking poles recommended especially in the lower area during the ascent, for those who need support. The paths are well secured. There are very nice viewpoints around the entire mountain hike. When the weather is nice and there are no clouds, you have a fantastic view of the Alps at the top. There are a few barbecues along the way as well as a few bench seats.
Surefootedness must be present, as well as mandatory Alpine experience.
Important: This mountain hike starts directly from the public car park (free of charge), at the Oberwil train station in Simmental. The highlight of the mountain hike is the Leiternweide Oberwil suspension bridge, which is 111 meters long and 111 meters high above the gorge. The path continues down the newly restored ladder path to the ruins of the Weissenburg bath.Important: Can be done with children from the age of 12 with very good sure-footedness and very good physical condition. For your information: moderate mountain hike

I was alone on the suspension bridge, but I was still very surprised at how little it swayed. I'm not afraid of heights, but since you can see the other end of the bridge very well and, as I said, it hardly sways, crossing the suspension bridge wasn't a problem.
