The Landing—Minnesota River Heritage Park is an 88-acre living history museum located in Shakopee, Minnesota. The park is situated on the banks of the Minnesota River and is designed to represent life in the Lower Minnesota River Valley during the 19th century.
Its exhibits feature a collection of preserved and replicated historic structures arranged to simulate a timeline of the era, from the 1840s through the 1890s. Key buildings include a fur trade post, various farmsteads, a town hub with a general store, and a blacksmith shop.
Staff members, dressed in period-appropriate attire, act as interpreters who demonstrate historical tasks, crafts, and social customs. The park's primary function is to provide an educational and immersive look at the region's settlement and development during that time period. Walking trails are also available throughout the property.
