Lockhart Road is a long, rugged stretch linking Moab to the Needles District of Canyonlands. It’s known for rough 4x4 tracks, loose rock, and long dry miles with little shade or water. For Hayduke hikers, it’s both beautiful and demanding, with red cliffs rising on both sides, and an absolute sense of solitude. This is classic Utah desert country: wild, remote, and unforgettable.
