The imposing Temple of San Juan Nepomuceno stands out along Hidalgo Street, two blocks south of the cathedral. Completed in 1779, its large and monumental nave houses an extraordinary collection of 18th-century paintings produced by the Order of Jesus. One block south of the temple is the building of the old College of San Francisco, built by the then San Juan University.
