This connection was built between 1844 and 1846 under Mayor Friedrich Meyer. In his honor there has been a stone memorial on the embankment since 1875. The dam, which was breached by the water during the construction work, now attracts with its numerous seating areas and a magnificent avenue of lime trees. The unique water and city view tempts you to walk along and enjoy.
