The road is undulating and a bit tiring (from Aral to Suusamyr), but it offers stunning scenery and a lovely village (Kizyl Oy) where you'll find a market. Near the village of Kojumkul, you'll find the old mud yurt where the giant Kozhomkul lived (who lived between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries). He went down in history for, among other things, managing to carry a horse on his shoulders.
