The village owner, the Kölcse family, had the church built in the second half of the 15th century. At that time, the nave was still separated by a triumphal arch from the polygonal sanctuary, which was covered by a ribbed vault. Today, only the ribbed ribs with shields remain. These are the remains of the Gothic sacristy, which was demolished during the Reformation. The door leading from the sanctuary to here and a niche carved from stone for holding the sacrament are clearly recognizable. The bell tower was built by András Garda and János Farkas in 1794.
