The excavation site is located near the town of Qassiarsuk. This was the first Norsemen settlement in Greenland, and it is fairly certain that Erik the Red settled here. You can see the foundations of houses, stables, etc., as well as very interesting replicas of Thjodhild's Church and a longhouse.
