The Sierra de Sotillo Refuge is located in the heart of the Sanabria Lake and Segundera and Porto Mountains Natural Park, in a high-mountain setting. It is a small, free-standing refuge, designed to provide shelter in case of need during hikes through the Sierra de Sotillo, where glacial lakes and open panoramas abound. Its interior is simple, with limited space, so it's a good idea to bring a sleeping bag and everything you need for the night. Remember to leave some firewood inside to keep it dry for the next hikers.
