The Weßlinger See is an isolated lake. It has only underground springs. For this reason there is no naturally grown fish stock. Fish that were used repeatedly often died from lack of oxygen. To keep the lake from tipping over, an oxygen pump was installed in the middle of the lake at the end of the 1970s to aerate the deep water. She also lets a jet of water shoot up at a fixed time rhythm.
