Parish church with a neo-Romanesque, broad front. The oldest part of the church is the tower, which dates back to the Middle Ages (12/13 centuries). It is believed that there are much older remains of an early church (dating back to the first millennium). Particularly worth seeing inside the choir (Gothic) and the pulpit.

In the municipality of Montan there are two very beautiful churches, the earliest dates of which date back to the 12th century. One is the Church of St. Bartholomew in the main town, the other is St. Stephen's Church in the Pinzon district. The former immediately catches the eye because of its almost majestic facade.

The Church of St. Bartholomew is located directly on the village streets of Montan. Its neo-Romanesque front fits harmoniously into the villagescape and still stands out. It is believed that a church from the 1st millennium once stood in its place, but documents only show a Romanesque building from the 12th/13th century. Century, of which only the tower remains today. In 1875, new construction began and the Church of St. Bartholomew was given its current appearance.
