It makes perfect sense to take someone from the village with you to accompany you in the valley, who will inform the priest of your arrival and obtain the key to the chapels from him. Otherwise the climb is free.
It is fascinating how many people regularly make pilgrimages up here. They always take food with them for the priest and the sister on the mountain to take care of them.

Entry is only possible with the approval of the priest. It is advisable to hire someone in the valley to inform the priest of the arrival. Otherwise the climb is in vain!
