Cape Ákra Sarakináto (also known as Ákra Pronos) is a striking geographical point in the southeast of Kefalonia. It forms the southeastern tip of the island, not far from the port town of Poros. For shipping, it is an important landmark, as it marks the entrance to the Gulf of Patras and the passage between Kefalonia and the neighboring island of Ithaca. The coast here is characterized by rugged limestone cliffs, typical of the geological nature of the Ionian Islands.
