The marmot - French "Marmotte" - is the mascot of Crans-Montana. On the marmot trail between Cry d'Er and the Cabane des Violettes you can watch the fluffy alpine animal. On the barren scree slopes along the way, the marmot finds many hiding places and thus a perfect habitat.
