    Hiking

Wiedersberg Castle is a spur castle with two deep neck trenches and the still visible foundations of two strong rectangular towers on the eastern attack side. Access is on the south side of the facility, via a two-storey gate tower.

The castle was built around 1200. It was built to secure the trade route between Plauen and Hof. After 1500 the castle was already in ruins. Maintenance work was not carried out until 1970.

Unfortunately the inn is no longer managed - a shame. But it is worth going to the church or the Wiedersberg castle ruins. You can also take a break at the village square. The subsequent route to Gassenreuth, like an alley, leads through beautiful hilly landscapes. And you gain almost 100 meters in altitude. Strengthens the heart and circulation!
