The Frauenbrünnl is also called Gunterkircherl in Rinchnach. At this point in the Rinchnacher Hochwald, where this gem built in 1766 can be found, the founder of the monastery of Rinchnach, St. Gunther, is said to have lived in a hermit hermitage around 1000 years ago.Next to the jewel there is a small spring, the actual Frauenbrünnl, which gives it its name. Numerous pilgrims from the surrounding area came to the pilgrimage church. The viewing platform directly above the little church is particularly popular. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Rinchnach valley and the mountain ridge south of Rinchnach.
