Hiking

Everyone eventually thinks about how they want to embark on their final journey. The burial forest (or "Friedwald" in German) offers a good alternative. Today's hiking route led through this area. At first glance, the forest appears like a normal deciduous forest; only on the second or third glance do you notice small stone blocks on the ground bearing the names of the deceased. There are also three places of worship (smaller, middle, and upper) where either the funeral service can be held or where one can simply remember the deceased.
