“On Saturday 28th March 1981, the Potez 840, which was on a flight from Edinburgh to Stornoway but, because the airfield was closed on Sunday, diverted to Sumburgh. On his initial approach, the pilot selected the landing gear lever to 'down', but the landing gear remained retracted. He carried out an overshoot and circled the airport whilst attempting to extend the gear. Operation of the emergency manual gear extension system extended and locked the right leg only. Further attempts were made to lower the landing gear without success and the pilot decided to make a wheels-up landing. Police, fire and ambulance crew stood by as the plane safely landed on its belly, skidding for 200 - 300 yards (180m - 270m) along the runway before coming to a halt.”
This is that plane, now being preserved. Take a gander!
