This church, built between the 16th and 19th centuries, is known for housing the tomb of Napoleon I's first wife, Joséphine de Beauharnais, as well as that of his adopted daughter, Hortense de Beauharnais, mother of Napoleon III.

Placed under the protection of Saints Peter and Paul, the church, a listed historical monument, houses the tomb of Empress Josephine and the cenotaph of her daughter, Queen Hortense. Made of Carrara marble, come and admire Josephine's tomb, created by Cartellier, depicting the Empress kneeling, reminiscent of David's famous painting, "The Coronation of Josephine." This is also a unique opportunity to admire the superb organ case donated by Napoleon III.
