Tips
A challenging trail, with no signage, and advance planning is definitely advisable (we met a few hikers who weren't quite sure where they actually "were"). Cardiff Peak itself is a bit of a challenge, as the last 40-50 meters of elevation gain are steep terrain with brittle/loose rocks—we gave it a miss! The mountain trail continues to Mt. Superior...a day's work! The trail is almost always steep, with occasional loose scree, but easy to spot if you know where you are. It's worth it! Wonderful views of the mountains of Salt Lake City.
