The parish church of the Santissima Concezione, located in the oldest area, known as "Cavi Borgo," was built in 1757 and decorated with carved marble. It was formerly a branch of the nearby parish of Santa Giulia di Centaura in the Lavagna hamlet of the same name. It was granted independence in 1797 by the Archbishop of Genoa, Monsignor Giovanni Lercari.
