The Bloomington Education and Visitor Center, situated within the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, is perched on a bluff that offers a panoramic view of the Minnesota River Valley. The center features a wildlife viewing platform equipped with telescopes for close-up views of nesting eagles in the trees along the river.

Multiple trails lead from the visitor center, along the bluff top, and down to the riparian forest and wetland below. Inside the center, visitors can observe an active bird feeding station through a large picture window. Additionally, a well-stocked bookstore and various educational displays are available for exploration.
