After an old, rather dilapidated church was demolished in 1894, the new church was built in the Romanesque Revival style at the beginning of the 20th century with donations. It sits picturesquely on a rocky outcrop 180 meters above the Raspes du Tarn. A small cemetery is adjacent. There is also a Way of the Cross, above which, at the top of the foothill, stands a statue of the Virgin Mary erected in the 1940s. In front of the church is a kind of amphitheater. The entire complex exudes an impressive sense of tranquility—at least when nobody is there.
