Alaric Mountain (in Occitan montanha d'Aric) is a mountain located in the Aude department, southeast of Carcassonne in the Corbières region. Its highest point is the Signal d'Alaric at 600 m (2,000 ft). Its northern slope is a wine-growing area known as the Montagne d'Alaric vineyard.
The Signal de l'Alaric is the starting (or finishing) point of the GR 77 hiking trail.

A small part of the massif (in the commune of Lagrasse) belongs to the Corbières-Fenouillèdes Regional Natural Park, of which it constitutes the northernmost point.

Its name originates from the settlement in 412 in the southwest of present-day France of the Visigoths, a Germanic people who founded a kingdom in the region with Toulouse as its capital. Their king Athaulf (410-415) - brother-in-law and successor of King Alaric (395-410) - had a powerful fort built there. Legend has it that the tomb of King Alaric is located in a cave dug into the mountain. Since Alaric died in 410 in southern Italy, it is possible that it was rather King Alaric II[2], who reigned from 484 to 507 and who was the last monarch of the Visigothic kingdom of Toulouse.
