I strongly advise against riding a bike here: the sand is fluffy and there is a lot of it, you ride, slide, drag the bike, ride again, take the bike down a huge sandy mountain, then lift it up the mountain immediately after the descent. It is hard on a 2.25 tire, even worse on a 38C.
