    Translated by
The current church, dedicated to St. James the Apostle, was built in the years 1870-1872 as the Orthodox church of Saints Cyril and Methodius. It is an example of the application of the so-called Byzantine-Russian style in sacral architecture from the period of Russian partition. Currently, it is one of the few imposing churches from this period in the country that survived demolition after Poland regained independence in 1918.
