This trail through the woods is relatively flat with some roots and wooden boards/ boardwalks and short bridges over muddy spots and/ or streams. You get nice views of the Assabet River and there are also some little connector trails that lead in from local neighborhoods. The official trail, however, is one mile long and stretched from 308 Old High Street to Colbert Ave. The trail also passes by the Pine Hawk Archeological site, marked by an informational sign.
