Hiking Highlight

The platform offers a good view of the mountain panorama. The platform protrudes a few meters above the abyss and is only covered with grating - not for people with a fear of heights! For photos, however, I recommend the slightly higher seating area where the entrance to the climbing wall is - the glass panes of the platform don't get in the way 😉

A unique winter hiking experience from the Gemmi Pass to Sunnbüel. The hike from Valais to the Bernese Oberland leads through a fairytale winter world, notably in "Kaiserwetter", impressive mountains and a well-groomed path. From Gemmi Pass 2350 m above sea level past the frozen Daubensee and to Berghotel Schwarenbach (lunch break with hearty fare) then on to Sunnbüel 1934 m above sea level. The hiking time is about 3 hours.
Tip:
SBB RailAway - Gemmi Pass winter hiking. Special round-trip ticket for the Swiss Federal Railways, which includes all transport. Action from the end of December to the beginning of April.

The view from the restaurant is just beautiful. When hiking, note that the last departure of the Daubernseebahn is 4:45 p.m. and the last departure of the Gimmibahn is 5:00 p.m. There are limited paid parking spaces at the railway.
