The Mount Lowe Motorway can be accessed from Mount Wilson Red Box Road. This upper section descends to the intersection with the trail to Inspiration Point, with views along the way. The Mount Lowe Trail Camp is down a short spur trail. The camping area has five campsites and a pit toilet on site. At Inspiration Point, there are telescopes pointing out notable points of interest
