Stockheim is dominated by Stocksberg Castle, which arose from the castle of the Lords of Stocksberg. The 30 meter high battlemented keep bears witness to this period. As a Renaissance castle of the Teutonic Order from the 16th century, the structural character of Stockheim's landmark was further shaped. The castle received its remarkable interior design at the end of the 19th century from the owner at the time, the sparkling wine manufacturer Eduard Gießler. Today the castle is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited.
