Cattle grids, pot holes and (mainly) gravel make this a fun descent down to Chapeltown Road. There are some houses about half way so watch for people tinkering in their gardens across the track. You can get some nice speed and the terrain (on a gravel bike) gives a good challenge including lots of opportunities for little jumps. Nice view over the train track at the end if you climb the castle wall!
