The church was built in 1761 in the Polish Baroque style. The temple was originally built as a church at a Dominican monastery, after the first wooden church burned down.
The church has changed little; it still has a luxurious baroque interior created in the 18th century by local and foreign craftsmen. In the Pasiene Church you can see several monuments of art - the central altar, side altars, and the pulpit.
