In the 17th century, it was a court chapel, and in 1741, Andrzej Mielżyński added a northern chapel dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Around 1770–1771, a southern chapel was added. Over the centuries, the church expanded, and the origins of its current form date back to the early 20th century.

The Baroque-style building has a hall-like layout on a rectangular plan, with a Baroque tower topped with a dome from 1772.
