I knew that one from when freight trains still ran there! It's the old "rubber track," so called because the tracks rocked so much on the boggy ground. There was also a bridge over the road for a long time, but it gradually fell into disrepair and was therefore demolished decades ago. Likewise, right next to the track, where a wooden house now stands, stood a "Nodding Horse" for oil and gas extraction by "Brigitta-Elverrath." That too is gone. The old motor mill was also demolished. The pub owner (the large white house, formerly Duwe) disposed of his chained dog in the cistern, and the fire department was able to retrieve it weeks later.

The "Alte Braker Bahn" is a former train line, which was shut down in 1988. For the most part, the former railway line between Oldenburg and Brake is today a nature conservation and recreational area.
