The Torre di Pixinnì is a remarkable testament to historic architecture, nestled in the enchanting landscape of Domus De Maria, Italy. Built in 1595, the towering structure offers stunning views over the azure sea, making it a prime spot for photography and nature lovers alike. Visitors are drawn to its impressive stature, which commands attention from its perch atop a low promontory. The surrounding area is characterized by a variety of natural features, including steep cliffs, dense mastic trees, and unique geological formations, creating a stunning backdrop that enhances the tower's visual appeal. Getting to the Torre di Pixinnì is an adventure in itself, with a winding path winding through rugged terrain leading to a secluded cove adorned with smooth, round pebbles reminiscent of golden nuggets. The climb to the tower may be steep and challenging, but the reward is an unparalleled panoramic view that captivates the senses. Despite limited access to the tower's interior, the exterior remains a sight worth seeing with its historical significance and well-preserved structure. The area is also enriched by remains of ancient quarries that add a fascinating layer to the landscape. With its combination of natural beauty, historical depth and photographic opportunities, Torre di Pixinnì is a fascinating destination that invites exploration.

The Piscinnì tower, accessible via a path and built between the 16th and 17th centuries by the Spaniards, stands on a promontory dominating the wild and evocative panorama of the beach and surrounding Mediterranean vegetation. The view of the coast is magnificent!

In ancient times, both Punic and Roman, the low cliff surrounding the tower cove was the site of intense mining activity for the production of sandstone blocks used in the construction of buildings. The coast still retains clear traces of that period: you will be able to recognize the artificial square shapes in the rock and the flat surfaces of the cliff, which respectively represent the excavation fronts and the quarry floors of two thousand and 500 years ago.
