The boundaries of today's Arnsberg urban area run southwest from the quarry above Müschede and then from Hömberg, zigzagging between the field boundaries into the valley, around Wettmarsen, and then making a sharp zigzag turn northwest to Eisborn. The Arnsberg district had no boundaries here, as it also included Eisborn, Asbeck, Sundern, and Balve.
