Hiking
From the hill, there is a beautiful view over the village of Motten, lying in the valley, and the Grosse Haube / Mottener Haube rising behind it. The 658.1 m above sea level mountain marks the western edge of the Rhön Mountains. The state border between Bavaria and Hesse also runs there. Historically, it was already the border between the Bishopric of Fulda (the part that fell to Bavaria in 1815/16 as part of the Congress of Vienna) and the Landgraviate of Hesse-Kassel.
