This mid-range radar system was built in the years 1966 - 1968 and is used to guide and locate civil aircraft. The dome is visible from afar and THE landmark of the Leiser Berge. A few kilometers farther, at the Steinmandl is the military variant of it. From the summit cross you can see both facilities well. Here at this point the view is very limited and there are only a few signs to read.
