Hiking
The Caminho Real n23 follows a historic path high above the coast, connecting old villages, terraced fields, and steep slopes. Along the way, you'll alternate between scenic clifftop sections, shady stretches, and views of the deep blue Atlantic. The sometimes narrow, rocky path requires sure footing but rewards you with a truly authentic glimpse of Madeira's north coast.

Hiking
The path is officially closed from both directions. According to the owner of the café above, this applies especially during and immediately after rain, due to the high risk of rockfall.
