Until the beginning of the 18th century, Laptevo (also Fedosovo) was a village. In 1710, a wooden church was built here at the expense of the local landowner and steward Ivan Perfilievich Arsenyev and consecrated in 1712 by the abbot of the Bogolyubovo Monastery, Sergius, in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1747, another wooden church was built in Laptev and consecrated in honor of the Sign of the Mother of God.
Both of these churches existed until the construction of a stone church in 1819, with the blessing of His Eminence Xenophon, Bishop of Vladimir.
Since 2014, a metochion of the Holy Bogolyubsky Monastery.
