Nestled in a sheltered valley near the Sentier Cathare, the site of La Clotte, in Roquefort-des-Corbières, intrigues with its four Roman milestones from the Augustan era (two of which are intact). Discovered in 1869, they long led to believe in the passage of the via Domitia, the oldest Roman road in Gaul. The valley also preserves the remains of a medieval building and its oil press. Classified as a Historic Monument since 1974, the place brings together two millennia of history in a few meters.
