It is a temple characterized by a late Gothic structure, erected in the 16th century, and then restored and raised around 1684. It was built on a hill, which according to legend was a place of pagan cults. It can be assumed that the original church was wooden, like other temples at that time. The building is oriented, made of brick, built in the Polish arrangement. The church consists of one nave and a straight, lower and narrower presbytery. On the west and south, there are porches by the nave. Fragments of hewn stone can be seen in the walls. The final reconstruction of the church was carried out before 1684 by the then parish priest, Fr. Jan Strzębosz. Inside the church there is a magnificent main altar with gates, from the end of the 18th century, decorated with a 17th-century crucifix and sculptures of the Virgin Mary and St. John. In the altar in the foreground there is a magnificent, large Gothic cross with the crucified Christ. The Virgin Mary stands under the cross, and St. John is kneeling. John the Apostle. On the wooden walls, extending the altar, stand figures from the background of Golgotha, Joseph of Arimathea and Mary of Cleophas. The altar is crowned by a painting of St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, and two seventeenth-century sculptures of angels. The temple also has two side, late Baroque altars from the end of the 18th century. Another valuable monument is the Rococo pulpit from the end of the 18th century, made from a single oak trunk, and a pediment of the same type for the late Baroque baptismal font. The church's presbytery contains paintings by Count Stanisław Szembek.
