    Hiking

Talladega National Forest spans 392,567 acres across the southern edge of the Appalachian Mountains. Before the 1930s, this area was extensively logged, but with preservation efforts over the past almost 100 years, the pine forest regrowth is now home to a healthier and more diverse ecosystem.
