The city of Chiusure rises on a hill 6.8 kilometers to the south of Asciano.

The old access to the village is the Porta Senese, obtained from einFornix, which was later built into a residential building. A square fountain is located on the square in front of the church of San Michele. In the upper part of the village stands the old fortress with great panoramic views of the Crete Senesi.

I do not agree with the review that gives this route as easy and suitable for everyone.

There is a stretch inside the wood that is not practicable and we had to look for an alternative (small) detour.

The climbs on the trails are very steep.

I'm practically Nordic walking so I'm used to trails so that's why I feel like writing this comment.

The loop circuit crosses some truly suggestive panoramic places. Starting from Chiusure, the first part of the route is suitable for everyone. However, since the descent into the woods begins and in particular with the ascent, the path becomes challenging. Once under the walls of the abbey there is a closed gate which can be opened.

In the last kilometer there is a very steep climb of about 500 meters with a difference in height of over 100 meters.
