Buic (from the Latin boscus, because it stands on the edge of the woods) is a hamlet of La Thuile that seems to have sprung from the stone and silence of the forest. The houses follow one another in an orderly row along the road, joined by covered entrances that guard the entrances like ancient secret passages.
