The trail through lovely Steindalen forms the first (or last, depending on which way you tackle it) section of the SignaTUR i Tafjordfjella. During this part of the valley, the slopes of Breifjellet rise to the north, while Litlehornet rises to the south, a good skiing objective from nearby DNT Tjønnebu. However, take care if exploring here during winter, as the surrounding slopes are prone to avalanches.
