Mountain Biking Highlight
The Hallgarter tongs at Hallgarten in the Hessian Rheingau-Taunus district is a 580.5 m above sea level. NHN [1] high southeast foothills of the cold hostel (619.3 m) in the Taunus.
As it is located slightly further to the south of the Taunus main ridge (Hoher Taunus), it appears from some perspectives, seen from the Rhine, to be slightly higher than the cold hostel, which is about 1 km away, the highest elevation of the Rheingau.
On the mountain foothills are the ringwall Hallgarter tongs, a lookout tower with mountain inn, a pilgrimage monument and a climbing park.

Great views, a climbing garden and great trails make a visit to the "Zange" worthwhile.

If you are not out early in the morning, be sure to avoid the road. Unbelievably much traffic here.
