On April 20, 1918, during a meeting of residents of nearby villages, the decision was made to build a church in Ugoszcz. Bishop Henryk Przeździecki, the bishop of Siedlce, allowed the construction of a church in Ugoszcz. A wooden chapel covered with straw was built, in which the first mass was celebrated on April 20, 1919. On that day, the chapel was consecrated, which became a branch of the Miedzna parish.

On July 30, 1923, Bishop Henryk Przeździecki established an independent parish in Ugoszcz. In August 1929, the parishioners, together with the parish priest, Fr. Władysław Błachnio, began building a brick church. On September 13, 1931, with the permission of the curia, Fr. Władysław Błachnio consecrated the church
