Schlesierhaus (Dom Śląski)

The yellow Schlesierhaus is located on the ridge below Sněžka on the Polish side.There is also a spacious outdoor area that can be used in good weather.From here you have an excellent view of the top of Sněžka as well as the surrounding valleys.Clear recommendation!

Silesian House is a mining village on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains.

It is located at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level, making it the highest shelter in the Polish part of the Sudetes. It stands on the edge of the mountain moors Równia pod Śnieżką (Koppenplan), directly on the mountain pass under the Schneekoppe (1389 m).

Here was the former tourist border crossing "Slaski Cathedral - Meadow Construction" set up, because only a few steps away, the state border between the two former Eastern Bloc countries.

Apparently the Schlesierhaus is not always open when we were there anyway. April (2018)
