Silesian House is a mining village on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains.
It is located at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level, making it the highest shelter in the Polish part of the Sudetes. It stands on the edge of the mountain moors Równia pod Śnieżką (Koppenplan), directly on the mountain pass under the Schneekoppe (1389 m).
Here was the former tourist border crossing "Slaski Cathedral - Meadow Construction" set up, because only a few steps away, the state border between the two former Eastern Bloc countries.

the Schlesierbaude was built on Prussian territory in 1921/22. In the hut you can eat well and inexpensively, which is also used by many hikers.

What else should one write about this? Great view, which one earned by ascending. It was very cold at the top and very windy, so be sure to check the weather and take your jacket and gloves accordingly.
