As a youth, Tyler played in-line hockey, soccer, baseball, ice hockey, learned how to ride a unicycle and learned how to snowboard with his dad. He also loved skateboarding. Later on in his short journey, Tyler excelled at skateboarding and loved to "bomb hills" on his long board. He loved snowboarding at Tyrol and would entertain his family with his tricks and antics. A day on the lake skiing, wakeboarding and chillin' was the way he enjoyed his summers. Tyler also loved music; summer nights were for music and dancing. He was looking forward to Live on King Street and all the wonderful smaller music festivals throughout the city this summer. Tyler also enjoyed hiking through Raymond Ridge Park while listening to music or chatting with family. He always had time to stop and enjoy the sunset and was always the peaceful soul, but not afraid to speak out with an intelligent, informed opinion. Tyler was a student at James Madison Memorial and a proud graduate of Malcolm Shabazz City High School and later attended MATC's Auto Mechanics program.
